Helen Johannesen
Helen Johannesen, Wine Enthusiast’s 2016 Sommelier of the Year, is widely admired for her approach to wine—making it accessible, fun, and engaging. She’s known for helping redefine the Los Angeles dining scene with Jon Shook and Vinny Dotolo after joining forces with them in 2009. Today, Helen is a partner in their growing footprint of acclaimed restaurants: Jon & Vinny’s Italian and Helen’s Wines. With her special touch, she carefully curates a selection of natural and small-production wines alongside a classic cocktail list.
I love the idea of people being able to drink dynamic, thoughtful and memorable wines at The Centurion Lounge. I want these wines to draw people in, spark curiosity and make them smile.
